Treatment Philosophy
I believe seeking therapy is a courageous act of self care. This can be a rich, rewarding experience, and it can also be challenging at times. I will help you navigate this journey through developing a trusting therapeutic relationship in an environment of emotional safety. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with you to create a supportive, safe space for you to heal and grow at your own pace.

We are all dynamic individuals, and I believe our experiences in therapy should reflect that. I use an integrative approach to therapy - meaning I pull techniques from several evidence-based practices in order to create an experience best tailored to your unique needs. I have experience working with adults of all ages who have substance use disorders, mood disorders, trauma, family/relationship issues, and difficult life transitions. No matter what brings you in to therapy, you can expect to be met with empathy, positive regard, and support. Together, we can identify your strengths and values to help you navigate life’s challenges.
In my spare time I enjoy going thrifting, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago with focuses in mental health and substance abuse. I completed my first field training at Evanston Township High School in the social work department. My second field training took place at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in the Center for Addiction Medicine. I have experience in both individual and group work and utilize elements of CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based, client-centered approaches.
Since earning my graduate degree I have spent time working as an outpatient therapist at a group practice in the Northwest Suburbs where I had the privilege of helping a wide array of people from all different walks of life. I have also completed the necessary coursework to obtain my Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) certification and enjoy helping people struggling with addiction and substance use disorders.
